I have just had a laproscopy to investigate the presence of endometriosis.

Q. I have just had a laproscopy to investigate the presence of endometriosis. Thankfully none was found, so I am very relieved. However, I still have no answers to the casue of my pain and keep being “fobbed off” with IBS and muscular probelms.
I get stabbing pain in my right side, cramping, pain when I pee, pain that radiates down my right leg, pain during sex, a dragging and stabbing sensation up my vagina and sometimes in my anus. This often occurs alongside extreme bloating and almost every 3-4 weeks or whenever I am physically active. I feel sick with the pain and always tired. On occassions when it gets really bad, I bleed and get very hot (temperature). This has been going on for over a year and really getting me down.
I have had several swab tests to check for infection and they have come back clear.
I am desperate to get some answers and treat this. I am 25 and it is destroying my life.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated…
Could it be PID?,

A. Im really sorry to hear of your concerns. It is difficult to say exactly what is going on with you. Please do speak to your gynaecologist or GP again. It may be that thay have to come to a diagnosis of exclusion or that you will need to go on a “try-and-see” treatment. Endometriosis can sometimes be unusual -or atypical. YOu may ask your gynaecologist if you should be triaed on a range of “try-and-see” medications. For example, the pill, injections, hormonal coil, tretment for IBS, chemical menopause, etc. I hope this helps
