I have had 2 IVF/ICSI cycles on the NHS and both have been unscuccessful

Q. I have had 2 IVF/ICSI cycles on the NHS and both have ended on day 12 post embryo transfer. The first xycle i had mild OHSS but went on to do the transfer of 2 grade 1 and 8 cell embryos. The 2nd cycle, no OHSS, responded fine to short protocol, transferred 2 grade 1, 8 cell embryos but again failure to implant. My husband has low sperm count and poor motility hence the referral for ICSI. I am worried because it seems I may have issues causing implantation failures and would really like to know what tests I can do to check if there are issues with my uterus. I have had endometriosis in the past and had a laparoscopy done to scrape the uterus. I have also had uterine fibroids and this was surgically removed 2 years ago,. I have a small scar in my uterus were the fibroids was removed. I had a HSG done after surgery to ensure my tubes are not blocked. Could there be issues with my uterus and if yes, what can I do to find out why i am having issues with implantation.,

A. Thank you for your question. In this type of cases, it is best to speak to your IVF or Fertility specialist, as treatment needs to be individual. I assume you would have had an unltrasound scan to look at the uterus and other structures. You might also have had a camera look inside your womb – or undegone HyCosy or HSG as you mentioned. Age can affect the take of IVF, and your doctors would have done your FSH/LH levels. Do arrange an appointment to see your specilaist again, and if necessary ask for a second opinion, if you are not happy with the advice and information you are getting.
