Hi….my last period date was 26-June-2010.As per the date i am 8 weeks 4 days pregnant now..today we have taken ultrasound scan and they said my fetus is 11mm and i am 7 weeks 2 days pregnant…they have seen the heart beat……they said this everything fine…is this normal??but i am bit worried…becoz i found in the pregnancy guide that for 8 weeks the fetus shud be 20mm….please clarify my doubt and help me….,
A. If a heartbeat was found at the last scan, then we normally consider scan dating to be more accurate, as it is difficult to determine precisely when conception / fertilisation occurs, even in intances where only one sexual intercourse has taken place. Another scan in two weeks will help that if you or GP feel this is necessary.
