My GP says it is a Bartholins cyst and has now prescribed coamoxiclav, today it ruptured but has not fully drained. Is this a Bartholins cyst &#8211; it is not located at the opening of the posterior vagina and even my gp said the location is unusual? What could it be? it is not due to STI/STD and ive never had the issue before. Thank you.,</div>

<div id="buble_white_bg"><strong>A.</strong> Thanks for your interesting question. I would suggest that you would have had a Vulval abscess &#8211; in specific terms &#8211; a para-clitoral or labial abscess. All abscess, need to drain or be drained. I hope this helps, perhaps go back to your GP with this information and ask what they think about it, alternatively try and visit a local gyneacologist. good luck </div>

<div id="buble_white_top"></div>
<div id="buble_white_bg"><strong>A.</strong> Thanks for the question. The cost of vaginal tigthening depends on the type of vaginal tightening &#8211; it varies from £2750, for lower vaginal tightening or perineoplasty to £3800 for combined front and back vaginal wall tightening with perineoplasty. you will need an assessment to determine which type you need. I hope this has helped don&#8217;t hesitate to contact me again if you need further information. </div>

<div id="buble_blue_bg"><strong>Q.</strong> I had an unsuccessful Intrauterine insemination (IUI) on my last cycle. My cycles are usually 24 days long and I ovulate on day 10. After my period finished I started spotting on days 12 &#8211; 14 and i am still spotting now on day 16. I usually have some spotting a day before my period arrives but never this early and for this long, What might be the cause? I was on progesterone before my last period arrived. Would the meds have affected it? Could it be implantation bleeding? My temps have been above my coverline for the last 6 days. Slightly concerned so a response would be fantastic. Many thanks<br />
,</div>
<div id="buble_blue_bottom"></div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div id="buble_white_top"></div>
<div id="buble_white_bg"><strong>A.</strong> Thanks. Because the unsuccessful IUI was your last cycle. It is not unusual that this cycle might not be so normal. The assumption here is that there would have been some endometrial build-up in preparation for the ~IUI, and this lining of the womb is probably now being shed irregularly, hence the bleed. I suggest you see your GP or fertility doctors over this matter, they can decide whether to arrange a scan and or treat you with hormonal preparation to stop the bleeding. Was your pregnancy test positive?</div>

But then three years ago I started having a number of symptoms, such as hypertensia, mood swings, arthralgia, headache, weight gain, bitterness in the mouth, chronic fatigue etc. I visited my GP and she prescribe me Estradot (50mg) without any study of my health: I had endometrial hyperplasia, cervical polip,2 miscarriages (before 2 childs birth) in past. <div id="buble_blue_bg"><strong>Q.</strong> I have had Discomfort and episodes of pain in the region of my bladder/uterus since having my second child by cesarean section one year ago. Recently I had a very painful experience during and following intercourse which I haven&#8217;t experienced before, this was 3 days ago and I am still sore. My periods have changed from 28 day regular to 21 day regular and stopping after 3 days. I also have had painful episodes of diarrhoea and variation of back pain, and my lower stomach is still bloated and at times I look as if I am still pregnant. I eat a healthy diet, exercise and keep active. I haven&#8217;t seen my GP yet, I dout I would give it time after the surgery but it doesn&#8217;t seem to be improving. I this normal after 2 cesarean sections?,</div>

<div id="buble_white_bg"><strong>A.</strong> Thanks. You should not be incapacitated even after four Caesarean Sections, so my answer is, no it is not normal. You should see your GP as soon as possible &#8211; you may need to go back to the local hospital to see a gynaecologist. good luck</div>

<div id="buble_blue_bg"><strong>Q.</strong> Hi. Please could you tell me if the pelvic floor restoration and the vaginal tightening operations are the same kind of thing?<br />
I am a mummy of 2, tore both times during birth but wasnt stitched. Both were large babies of 9pounds. Now 5 years on im having problems leaking when coughing, sneezing or being tickled. I cant go on the tramperline with my daughters. If i need the toliet i HAVE to go right away. I have seen a physiotheripist who referred me to a consulatant. The consulatant said i have a prolapse but wouldnt operate on it until im older!!!! Im 30 now. Its uncomfortable and when i ride my horse i can feel a bulge. Sex is completely unpleasurable which is causing problems in my marriage. Im at my wits end now as this is making me depressed. Im not sure what can be done, if anything. I have always done my pelvic floor exercises especially after child birth but my doctor told me now i have a prolapse even doing the exercises wont shift things back up to where they should be. Please help me. Also, im not sure how much i can expect to pay for the sort of surgery that can help me so if you could give me a guideline that would really help. ,</div>
<div id="buble_blue_bottom"></div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div id="buble_white_top"></div>
<div id="buble_white_bg"><strong>A.</strong> Thanks. I think if you are really sure you have completed your family, surgery can be done. Alternatively if you have not completed your family, when next you get pregnant, your baby may need to be delivered by Caesarean Section. The surgery to be done needs to be decided &#8211; either a Repair operation to front and back wall or together with a sling procedure for the incontinence, depending on how bad it is. Do call us, to arrange a consultation, if you feel you can have treatment in any of our locations in London, Leeds or Manchester. Cost is between £3500 &#8211; £4500, depending.</div>

<div id="buble_blue_bg"><strong>Q.</strong> i am 21 years old and have been told i have a prolasped bladder. i have one child and was asked by my GP if i had finished having my family, i am not. i was told nothing could be done for me as i want to have more children, i am in extream pain after weeing and can not laugh or cough without leaking. can u give me any advice? after giving birth to my daughter i had a caphiter to drain my bladder and was wondering if that could have anything to do with my problem now?,</div>

<div id="buble_white_bg"><strong>A.</strong> Thanks. The chances are that your pelvic floor was &#8220;damaged&#8221; during childbirth, I dont think it is the catheter you had put in, itself but having the catheter could be a reflection of difficulty in passing urine at the time. At 21 yrs, you may have to find a way of achieving a stronger pelvic floor muscle, possibly through pelvic floor exercises. If you choose to have surgery now, you may then have to have your further childbirth by Caesarean Section and the risk of it happenign is there, just because you are pregnant. If it is realy bad, you can use alternative options to surgery &#8211; like vaginal pessaries for prolapse.</div>

<div id="buble_blue_bg"><strong>Q.</strong> Dear Sir,</p>
<p>My wife has polycistic ovary syndrome (PCOS), this is the conclusion that was made after tests were carried out at the hospital. She has not been on any periods for about 7 months. at the present she takes the following medication<br />
- Metformin &#8211; 500mg &#8211; 2 times daily<br />
- Orgamed &#8211; 10mg &#8211; 2 times daily</p>
<p>Sir, my question- if yuo can help is that; is PCOS curable and also can you please recommend any other medication that would/could potenitaly help regulate the periods?</p>
<p>thanking you in advance and thanks for taking the time to read this</p>

<div id="buble_white_bg"><strong>A.</strong> Thanks. Apologies for the delay in answering your question. No PCOS does not have a natural cure, but its effect can be treated effectively depending on individual cases, and when diagnosed, and how it affects the individual.. I&#8217;m not sure what orgamed is, but your wife may be helped by medications to help you ovulate regularly, from D2-D6 of each cycle. I hope this has helped in some way</div>

<div id="buble_blue_bg"><strong>Q.</strong> Hello is there anything you can do to help me please? I had an laparascopic surgery in January this year, where from my left ovary they removed one cyst and removed a couple of micro cysts from right ovary . After laparascopic surgery everything was fine. But these last three days i feel a pain on my right ovary. I told it to my GP, who referred me to the NHS hospital for scan, which will be next 3 weeks. Is it something what i have to worry about and go to private clinic as soon as possible or I can wait till NHS scan appointment? thank you in advance ,</div>
