Please help ,

A. Thanks. You do sound like you are likely to have endometriosis. The pre-menstrual and peri-menstrual symptoms associated with this can be quite disabling sometimes. You do need treatment, which may involve hormonal and sometimes drastic medication, such as Zoladex. I hope this helps you. Take care.

Q. A while back i was told by the doctor that i had P.I.D this was whilst i had the contraceptive implant in my arm, About a month ago i had it removed because me and my boyfriend felt like it was time to try for a baby. I have been looking up on google about P.I.D and its says i may not be able to have children. Is this true? Can i have tests to see if i can actually have kids? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank You. ,

A. Thanks. Its diffult to say kf your PID was treated effectively or not. If it was, there is little to worry, otherwise what you read is true. You can have a hysteria-salpingogram tonsee the tube outline.

2yrs ago I was getting abnormal smears. I had 2xcolposcopys then a biopsy

Q. Hi,2yrs ago I was getting abnormal smears, I  had 2xcolposcopys then a biopsy(6months ago) which showed cin1/2,(my friend had this and had loop cone straight away+she is now clear)have just been back for my 6month colposcopy and my results are now cin 3.I have 2wait 4wks to have loop cone+feel like ive been overlooked. If ive gone fron cin 1 to cin 3 in only 6months do you think iam likely to get cervical cancer+do you think i would be beter to go private?,

A. I feel you need treatment asap. Your local hospital will normally call you for an appointment between 2-4 weeks. That should be OK, but you can go private, if you wish. Express your concern to your GP, first, who may be able to fast-track your appointment

Hi. I am currently 33 wks pregnant with my 3rd child

Q. Hi. I am currently 33 wks pregnant with my 3rd child. I have noticed for the past 4 wks or so a difference in my vaginal area. It is very difficult these days to look, so I am even more confused.

When I go to the restroom whether it be to urinate or defecate, I notice that I feel heavy in the area between the vagina and the anus. When I touch that area I feel like it is bulging, it just feels like it droops out….not sure that makes sense. I had a 3rd degree tear with my last birth and I have felt ‘different’ ever since. On occasion intercourse which includes penetration from my spouse can be a bit painful, almost like I have to physically use my hands to open that area for him. Do these things sound normal and if not, who would I discuss these issues with (what type of doctor)? I look forward to hearing your response and I appreciate the time you are taking to help. Thanks in advance!

A. Thanks. I think it is best to await the birth of your baby and see your GP at the end of 6 weeks, however nothing stops you from discussing this with your midwife and or your Obstetrician in the natenatal clinic, who may chose to have a look and discuss findings with you. This is however likely to be more meaning after childbirth, and perhaps after you have resumed sexual intercourse. There is a likelihood that you have vaginal prolapse.
