Q. I have had no periods for the last 6 years I have had 4 pregnancys 2 full terms 1 miscarriage 1 abortion I have had blood clots ( no blood) and 3 bleeds in 6 years I have a swollen stomach at random times pain and pressure in my left had side I am in pain during sex, I have had the same partner for over 6 years and constant tiredness and lack of energy and I have black outs where I completely forget things I have had a laparoscopy that showed endometriosis but I still feel there’s something else wrong! i could really do with some advice, have you any idea what this could be? Please help ,
A. Thanks. You do sound like you are likely to have endometriosis. The pre-menstrual and peri-menstrual symptoms associated with this can be quite disabling sometimes. You do need treatment, which may involve hormonal and sometimes drastic medication, such as Zoladex. I hope this helps you. Take care.

A. Hi, thank you for your question. Doing pelvic floor exercises does help, to some extent and that is what is usually recommended. However, if this does not help, we will normally recommend that she considers having something known as vaginal tightening surgery, provided, she does not have any nerve damage problems. I’ve been bleeding for 5 months, which only stopped for 3 days in this 5 month period. I then had 2 pill injection from the doctor every 9th week so far to stop the bleeding and it has not worked. I was then given tablets which slowed it down but didn’t stop it. I’m very worried now, I don’t know what’s causing this. Can you help?,

It may stem from how your body tries to adjust to the hormonal changes of after pregnancy, while at the same time, coping with the new hormonal injection. Q. Hi. I just went to have a regular smear today and they found that I have not 1 but 2 tampax trapped there. I suffer from. Fibroids and about. 6 months ago I complained to the doctor that I was having more pain that I couldn’t stand and a horrible discharge. She brushed this off as being to do with the fibroids and gave me huge pain killers. At the time I did ask should I have my smear early to check evrything and she refused. Now I have an infection probably bad can this cause cancer ? I am now waiting on an appointment but I would like to see someone privatley asap. Can you recommend in. Glasgow. Thanks for your help,
A. Thanks. Forgetting one or two Tampax will cause infection, which can cause blood poisoning, at worst, but this is unlikely to cause cancer. I assume you would have now found a private gynaecologist closer to Glasgow ?? If not let us know on 0207-117-6456 and we will try to help further.
