Q. Hi there,
I had a laparoscopy and d/c done while abroad on holiday. The doctor who did my surgery send a sample for a byopsy and the result is as follows: Findings are in favor of a Disordered Proliferative Endometrium with focal non specific chronic endometritis.
What should be my next course of treatment? I was given OLFEN to take after the surgery for a week.

A. Thanks. Olfen seem to be of German origin and its Voltarol or Diclofenac. This is just a pain-killer – non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It may help to treat you with a progestofen tablet, with our without antibiotics.

Q. Hi – My question relates to vaginal discharge which is ok most of the time – but i have nticed when I have a bowel mvement which exerts more pressure I relaease a very, very thick yellow discharge.
I have no itchiness & it does not smell & it becomes more apparent in the secoond half of my cycle.
I am trying t conceive and have been for a while and am wondering if this discharge could ‘kill’ my husbands sperm.
I have had full fertility checks for other things & everything else is ok .
What would you advise?

Q. Hello, I am a 22 year old woman who had a baby vaginally 20 months ago. I’ve recently undergone an operation for posterior repair and cervicopexy which I thought would tighten my vagina but it seems to have no difference when I have felt ‘down there’ myself. Is it possible to under go another operation for tightening so soon or how long would I have to wait to get one? I really am not happy with the results, I want to be back to the tightness of before I became pregnant. ,
A. Thanks. These are things that can be discussed. How much of pelvic floor exercises have you done? Will this provide an additonal tone, such that you then find the posterior repair at least a little beneficial. You can undergo a repeat procedure as soon as 6-8 weeks, but you might want to look at a complete picture of all the factors involved with you not feeling enough tightening. If all these supoort your having the repeat procedure, then you can go ahead, or you can contact us via 0207-117-6456. It important that a standard posterior repair is not the same as vaginal tigthening, the procedure has to be done specifically to narrow the vagina, and you may need or might have needed more than just the back wall tigthened, to get a good result.

I am quite worried. The doctors wanted me to be put on the pill however i did not agree to take it. Is there any other way naturally to keep my hormones balanced and get my periods to be regular? A. Thanks. If you are overweight, then try loosing weight. Diet may not do too much to improve this bu tyou may try. Exercise should help. Some ladies with PCOS are actually quite skinny. You might want to reconsider going on the pill, to regulate your cycle. Unless you are trying for a baby the doctors will not normally give you any medication to induce ovulation.
