Q. I have a large lump about the size of a golf ball between my vagina and bottom on the left side, it is very painful, it is not red or very visible but I can feel it. It has had some blood and puss come out of it but not an awful lot. It is solid to touch. I think it may be an ingrown hair that has become infected, unsure how to bring it to a head though as i’ve been using hot compresses on it and an antiseptic cream. I cannot get an appointment with my gp for nearly 2 weeks.,
A. Its an Abcess, and by now it would hav eruptured, Do keep it clean and dry. Use antibiotics if necessary from your GP

Q. im a 30 yr old lady,i had a pelvic mri for a hip problem, but it also showed up cyst in my lower vagina the doctor said she will send a letter to my GP, should this be something to worry about or do i just leave it, im worried!,
A. THanks. =This is an incidental finding, so hopefully should not be any concern, as ladies do have cysts thought their cycle, its just they tend no to be much more than 2-3cm

Q. my daughter has been trying for a baby for 6years she is under southend hosp but there are conflicting messages, some say she is going through early menopause others say not? she is 35 and very depressed with all the problems ie: not having periods for 6months then heavy bleeding for weeks but nobody seems to really helping her . I have suggested going private but not sure if this is the right way forward. Please help,
A. Thanks. Going private is a choice. Seeing your GP first may help to speed up things. I am sure some test will be pending or maybe she is awaiting an appointment. Either way there is not a lot of time on her hands, and she may have to consider egg donation.
