Q. i have not had periods since jan 2011. i went to my gp who did some blood tests: FSH, LH, Thyroid and they all came normal. I have had a Prolactin test done which i am waiting for results. My gp put me on Norethstrone for 7 days and after stopping the pills i still have no period. he has refered me to Gyny dept. i am waiting to be seen. what treatment will i be offered,
A. You will be investigated further to find out further reasons – may or may not involve keyhole investigation.depending on your age, you may be given HRT, or combined pill or another try at further hormonal preparation or underlying cause.

I am embarrassed to talk about it but As you are an expert in this kind of thing ill go for it and ask you as i’m just quit concerned about this as i got told by my doctor that it could be because im not relaxed but i think i am. So while im having sex i most of the time get really bad pain in my stomach or burning feeling around (in) the vagina and its not really nice because its painful and not comfortable and pleasurable to have intercourse with my partner as well as sometimes i get like kind of cuts around the vagina and its really painful or itchy witch makes it worse and i keep that are clean all the time. ,
A. Thanks. There are a few things that may be responsible. You may have a band of skin around the vaginal entrance which splits. It may be an infection, but this is quite unlikely. It is also may be due to vulva vestibulitis, but it may not be.

A. Thanks. I assume your GP has done a cervical smear, not just a swab. There os no need to worry at this stage. It may just be that you have some harmless lump, or that you have microscopic changes. The colposcopy will help decide what next.

Q. Hi. I am 25 years old. For the past two years I have had two small lumps situated under the skin, at the inner fold of my right labia majora. One is slightly bigger than the other but both are small. Overlying skin is pink. No other symptoms. The lumps are not mobile but i am able to wiggle them. They are not visible, they are deep in the skin. Almost feels like they are attached to a vein?
I have seen a gp twice, who has informed me to go back if they grow or itch etc?
I have no idea what they are. Any advice would be much appreciated.
