Een jaar zes maanden geleden heb ik een abortus gehad en nu zeven maanden geleden probeur ik opnieuw zwanger te worden maar het lukt nog niet. Ik heb bijna elke dag buikpijn en elke drie weken heb ik zo en haftig zwaar buikpijn en mijn menstruatie is heel anders geworden dan vroeger en het bloed dat ik krijg is heel donker. Vroger was ik vier dagen ongestelt en ik bloede heel veel maar nu is het maar twee dagen geworden en ik bloed heel weinig bijna de helf van vroeger. En mijn vraag is of ik bij u mij kan laten controleren of alles goed is bij mij.

A. Thanks. I think it is difficult fo rme to conceptulise “tag like things”, so it may be best to show this to your GP or practice nurse. The chances are that its nothing. Genitla herpes do not appear like skin tags as such, but it can resemble it.

Q. I have bleeding between periods, pain during intercourse, bleeding after intercourse. Lower back pain, feeling full quickly when eating. All smears normal and had paps for sti’s. All normal. Saw the gynecologist today. Had an internal exam. Doctor not worried as I have been on the contraceptive rod for a year. Feel as if I have been fobbed off today. No blood tests, am waiting for a hysteroscopy (non urgent). I did have problematic bleeding when I first had the rod, which settled down. Had these symptoms for 3 mths now and don’t think iot is the rod. I am 36 and have had 4 children. Have breast cancer (2 aunts) on my fathers side. Should I be worried??

A. Thanks. Perhaps you should not be worried, if your doctor has already seen you and suggested a hysteroscopy. A scan and hysteroscopy with a biopsy of the lining of the womb should give a good idea. If all comes out negative including negative infection screeaning, it may be due to your contraceptive rod(s)
