I posted the question with regard to the recurrent thrush earlier today. i have read your response and can respond accordingly. we both went to the GU clinic yesterday, we have both been treated for thrust all other tests for me are negative and my husband. I have a bottle of wine every couple of weeks. my diet is quite healthy we dont eat processed food as my husband cooks from scratch. i rarely get outside symptoms of thrush as my husband is my early warning system. every month it seems to be worse. my doctor did not want me to take the fluconazone for a long period of time. we have both received treatment and the gu clinic have been more helpful than my gp. he is not circmcised however, we make love after we have both had a bath. so all is clean. my thrush seems to reduce but never goes away. i am a healthy weight at 10st and maintain a healthy diet. I am 5’7″. I have started keeping a diary of my symptoms. i get sore about two weeks before my period so use daktarin cream as it works better than canesten. what other information would you like to help?,

Can investigations be undertaken to determine whether or not there is a problem with me (either on NHS or privately)? I am 40 years of age and Rhesus Negative. I am deeply concerned that if I were to try again for a baby it would result in miscarriage. Can lack of iron and/or vitamin k contribute to miscarriage? ,
A. You have every reason to be concerned, but this may all have happened due to chance. Do speak to you GP asking for investigation.

Q. I am a 22 year old girl, who has never had children. Unfortunately, due to , i guess natural reasons I have a very loose vagina. I had surgery 2 years ago and it doesnt appear to have done much.
I have two questions to ask
1. My problem doesnt appear to be the vagina muscles ( i.e. the muscles at the top and bottom) but the actual sides of my vagina. Have you seen this before? and is there any way of tightening up these muscles, if there are any there?
2. My surgeon told me that you can only tighten the muscles at the entrance of the vagina and not at the back- is this true?

A. Thanks. All sorts of procedures are being called vaginal tightening, and mnay surgeons in fact do the same procedure for everybody. I suspect that your vagina is short overall and widened at the top, and possibly your partner is a little on the small side. if these are correct, do reach me via info@gynecoemtics.com, as what you need is a self-customised vaginal tightening surgery. You may of course have a herediarty / congential widened vagina woth these features. You need someone to do your surgery if it comes to this gain, who is very exprienced. I cannot recommend a plastic surgeon for this. You can tightening the full length of the vagina in front and at least 50-80% of the vanigal length at the back. The shorter your vagina, the higher you have to go to get the sort of result that will make a difference for you. My little concern is that you are only 22yrs with no children and you have already had this surgery before, emaning you are morelikely to require Caesarean Section for future childbirth
