Q. I have experienced bleeding during sex on and off for a few years. I have been on the pill ovysmen for 13 years. My local gp seems to think it’s the oestrogen levels that’s causing this,and has recommend taking a 3month break. I am now in my 7th week and my periods have been the same,regular. I’m really concerned as i’m still bleeding and sometimes an awful lot. I’ve had a smear in the past 2 years and sexual health check,which came back negative.I’m worried as I’m 27 and looking to have children I’m the next year. Thank you ,

Q. I had a miscarriage last year and i didnt get my periods for aboutt 5 months…done with hysteroscopy to remove the adhesions formed during D&C and got my periods back….after that my periods are regular…..getting every 28 days….but i didnt concieve….my gynacologist suggested me to take a hormone test and found lutenizing hormone is slightly higher(13.5 on 19th day after periods)…she suggested me to take birth control pills for two months and consult her again…but i came to London now…now i am taking the pills for the second month…..i want to consult a gynacologist on completing this pill…..i checked with my GP…he told its a lengthier process to refer a gynacologist thru NHS and i need to wait for sometime to get appointment with a gynacologist….i want to know how much it will costs if i consult a private gynacologist?for conception treatment…..please advise me….,

Q. 3 years after a laser operation for hpv I still have bleeding which my doctor said is at the area that the laser was used. All tests are very clear. May have been a mistake during the lazer? Doctor said that if the bleeding doesn’t stop will have to burn the uterus vains that couse the bleeding with lazer. The bleeding is not severe but is continues and especially after intercourse,

Q. Hello, I recently had a wax done, and as a result, I now have a 2.5cm laceration between my left labia minora and the clitoris which i am very worried about! It isnt bleeding a lot, but it does sting. I was wondering whether i needed to have stitches or if i should use anything on the laceration. Will the laceration close up and heal on its own, or will it remain open?? Any help and advice would be very much appreciated!! Thank you!!,

Q. Last year June, 2009, I saw my period for seven days instead of three days; and this made me very dizzy. When I got to the hospital I was told that, it was due to infection in the blood and I was treated with antibiotics tablets namely ‘CIPROFLOXACIN AND DICLOFENAC’  amongst others and my period was regularized. Around Jan-Feb this year, I perceived foul smell discharge without itching, and around April 2010 I discovered that I started having around three days spotting before my normal period. I got married in April, 2010 and I have been having periodical nauseating feeling. And I have been having breast tenderness about 5 days ago, I thought I was pregnant and took pregnancy test strip at home and showed negative. Please, I want to know if it is still the infection that has not been properly treated that is causing spotting before real period. Could this prevent my getting pregnant? More so, I am O+ and my husband is O-. In addition, in September, 2009 I had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy operation and I was left with one fallopian tube. What can I do about the spotting and my getting pregnant?

A. I think these two issues and the history of ectopic needs a gynecoligst to assess and treat you. Without this it will be guesswork.

Q. My 11yr old daughter and I was talking about the change of women , she then wanted to show me her pubic hair , usually she is very private but when she showed me I was quite shocked ( not letting on to her ) to see that the ( i think) inside of virgina i’e clitoris hood etc was protuding quite badly I would say it was at least the size of a plum or bigger .it protuded down in between her legs ( with her legs together) it was positioned more to the front. etc and protude from her virginal lips , I have seen pics of women with enlarged labia etc but not this size , I think she feel uncomfortable but is not letting on , but told me she told her close cousin that she had this horrible thing hanging down there . can you please advise me as on this i think she should go doctors .,

Q. Hi, I am 21 Years of age, All my life my periods have never been settled, EVER i can never tell when i will be due, it can skip a month and then hit me or got a month then a month fine, around the same times. last week i had my period starting on Monday, sometimes it’s a full 7 days and sometimes its only 3 it really does love to pick and choose. (i was told it is because i am overweight / possibly stress as well that makes it skip like this?) it was a very light period and was not at all painful like some can be, and it lasted until about Thursday night. I am worried, normally i will have a little brown discharge at the end of my period, the last day or so and then it will go. recently (three weeks ago) i have changed mine and my partners diet, now, i date a girl.. her periods have been better than ever she has iron issues and this diet is doing wonders for hers. I’ve lost weight and seem to be doing great on it too, (all it is is a low GL Diet, more veg, some meat cut out junk food and regulate food eating habits nothing majorly shocking to my body as i ate pretty well anyway for the past year or so) and her being a girl well I can’t get pregnant or get STD’s and any toys we do awn have professional cleaning fluids and are kept in a sterile box. I also do drink a lot of water on top of a decent diet, I am an avid drinker of the stuff, my urine is clear and regular pale colour. Now as i was saying, last week i got my period, it ended thursday. but it is now Tuesday in to the following week of my period, and i am still having clots of black/brown blood? Which I have Never had before not to this degree. No odour or anything, and it is constantly got a lot of wetness, clear/cloudy regular discharge with it more than usual. I’ve never had it this long before. I went to the toilet this morning to find blood again, almost like my period had stopped for a tea break for a few days then restarted! But this was red regular blood with black/brown clots and gunk is the best way I can put it? And all of a sudden I’ve gotten really terrible and horrendously painful wind, all day and at night, its keeping me awake! Last year I started using tampons before that it was towels, don’t know if that’s important to know or not.I dunno what to do I’m currently mid packing to move and have no doctor to go to yet, so im concerned. I’ve looked around and some places say its normal don’t worry and others say it could be something really serious?! Can you please help clear my mind? Or tell me what to do I debated putting a tampon back in but some places said not to it can make it worse? I am not a happy bunny I just want it to go away and let me get on with my day, and nights rest.  Can’t wait to hear from you.
