Q. Hello Sir, I have been trying to get as much information as I can regarding vaginoplasty, I have given birth to three children and when I am having sex I end up with a quantity of air inside. I know I need a vaginoplasty but I am having trouble deciding between laser and conventional. I want the best results and I would like to be able to not see that pink fatty tissue at the opening of my vagina. Please advise me and tell me how much I should expect to pay realisticly and whether I can trust surgery in portugal or stay at home where its safer. Thank you very much for your help. PS. I am planning to have my surgery this month.,
A. Thanks. In my view, apart form th hype, there is very little difference, if any in the medium, to long-term result of vaginoplasty done in the conventional way or using laser. In my own hands, I’ll recommend conventional method, as it is tried and tested. The laser advantage is only mainly with less bleedind. Conseidering that the average blood loss from conventional vaginopalsty is less than 100ml – less than half of tea cup, I am unsure of the huge advantage of lesser blood loss. Tissue swelling varies from person to person, but there is no huge advantage in this either. There is not reason why the vaginoplasty should not address the concern with the pink layer. Perhaps you should visit for a consultation first before deciding for Portugal, and perhaps you should have as much information on Portugal procedure before you go. You can make further enquiries at info@gynecosmetics.com . In the UK, we suggest at least one week to 10 days of rethink after your consultation, before going ahead with surgery. I am not sure how you stand about this with the Portugal arrangement. Regards
